Al-Sheikh Abdul Salam Rostami bin Maulana Abdul Rauf bin Maulana Qudratullah bin Maulana Syed Muhammad Shah. He was born in 1354 A.H. Ramadan 1936 in Korstam district Mardan area Sadhom. His grandfather Amjad Pashin came here from Balochistan province. In 1952, he read the Qur'an commentary from Maulana Ghulamullah Khan in Darul Uloom Taqeem Al-Qur'an, Rawalpindi. In Shaban and Ramadan 1957, he started teaching Tafsir Qur'an from the Thana Masjid of his village Rustam. In 1959, he read Tafsir al-Qur'an from Shaykh-ul-Qur'an Maulana Muhammad Tahir Panj Piri and after that he joined Jama'at Isha'at-Tawheed wal-Sunnah. Among his teachers were Maulana Ghulamullah Khan Rawalpindi, Maulana Na Muhammad Tahir Panj Peri, Maulana Na Abdul Hadi Shah Mansoori aka Ko Ka Maulvi Sahib, Maulana Mian Gul Jan (Gariala Mardan), Maulana Na Abdul Razaq bin Muhammad Nauman Udinavi, Maulana Na Abdul Rab (Shahbaz).
